Train Kills Pedestrian in Bellevue

Railroad crossings in the Village of Bellevue were closed for hours early Sunday, after a train hit and killed a pedestrian.

It happened near the Main Street crossing. Eaton County suthoriites say the victim was dragged several blocks. The individual has not been named, so family members can be notified.

Drivers in the area should seek alternate routes. Sand Road is open.

      i agree with u james and if they say it was somthing else i will not belive it. i have know him a long time and he would never think bout it. he was a great guy. what sucks is i had just seen him saturday at bout 6pm and he smiled and waved at me like he did almost every time i seen him. he is goin to b miss.     the railroad tracks have always been unsafe ive called the railroad several times to repair but they just do a quick fix my truck has needed repairs from they should voted worst crossing in michigan even the side roads crossigs are better hopefully they fix them now >

      I agree! Those tracks are dark at night and by far the worst condition possible. I went to school with this man and he will be greatly missed.
