DETROIT (AP) -- Thousands of riders are signed up to take a bicycle tour of Detroit's historic districts.

The 12th annual Tour de Troit is set for Saturday. It raises money to support non-motorized transportation projects in the city.

The cost is $55 per rider for those who registered in advance. Students pay $45. Walk-up registration is available on-site Saturday for $65.

The tour starts in Roosevelt Park in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood and features 62-mile and 30-mile rides.

More than 5,500 people participated in last year's Tour de Troit.
