Three Women Arrested When Shots Fired

Lansing police arrested three women and let a fourth go after a gun incident.
It happened Thursday night at about 8 p.m. near Kalamazoo and Jones.
Police were responding to a call of shots being fired in the area.
When they arrived, officers were told that one women had been seen shooting a gun, and then left with three other women in a silver Malibu.
The suspects' car was caught shortly afterward on the 800 block of East Saginaw.
Police later learned the vehicle had been stolen.
All four women ran from the car, but were caught nearby.
One woman broke into an apartment on the 700 block of East Terrace, and was found hiding in the food pantry.
She ran and was caught shortly.
Police also say a 19-year-old woman admitted to firing a handgun earlier to scare several people on the 200 block of Jones Street.
Three of the women were arrested on various warrants and charges.
A fourth was released without charges.
No one was hurt.

    "Women" was used twice here when referring to a single woman. This is terrible journalism.

    Looks like the gun buyback program was a success. Only 3 robberies, three shootings, and 3 or 4 arrests..and all involving guns, just in the last week or so. Gee, when is the next one gonna be?
