SNOVER, Mich. (AP) -- A 16-year-old boy shot himself in the foot while hunting in Sanilac County.
According to the sheriff's department, the teenager tripped and accidentally discharged his firearm between 5 p.m. and 5: 30 p.m. Thursday near Snover.
The Times Herald of Port Huron reports a neighbor and family members gave the boy first aid and took him to a hospital in Sandusky.
He later was transferred to a Saginaw hospital.
