DELHI TWP - Just a day after putting his picture on TV, a suspect in a Delhi Township burglary attempt is arrested. Ronald Allen Jones, 29, was arrested by Lansing police Wednesday morning. He was turned over to the sheriff's office, who is investigating the case. Another suspect, Branden Alonzo Williams, has not been located.

Ingham County Sheriff's Office Deputies say around 2AM on June 29th Jones and Williams broke into a storage shed along the 4300 Block of Harper Road in Delhi Township. There the deputies say the men loaded several boxes of fireworks into a van. A neighbor saw the suspicious activity and called police.

When deputies arrived, the men drove off. Deputies pursued. The men stopped the van in the 6300 block of Bishop Road and ran off on foot. Investigators say Jones and Williams got into a second car and drove away, losing their pursuers. Deputies recovered all the stolen fireworks in the van. They say there was a large amount.

Ronald Jones is expected to face charges of breaking and entering and possession of burglary tools.

Again, the other suspect, Branden Alonzo Williams, is still being sought. If anybody has any information as to the whereabouts of these individuals please contact Crime Stoppers at (517) 483-STOP or the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Delhi Division at (517) 244-1895.
