State Police are looking for a man who went missing in Jackson County Tuesday night.
The man, Charles Gehringer, went walking with his two beagles at about 5:30 p.m. in Tompkins Township.
At 8:30 p.m., a neighbor returned with one of Gehringer's beagles.
Family and neighbors searched the area near the home, at 11081 Onondaga Road, but did not find him.
State Police then searched with a K9 team and a helicopter with night- and heat-vision equipment.
The other beagle was found during the search, but Gehringer was not.
The area being searched it east on Onondaga to the Grand River, and north of Barsons Road.
This includes hundreds of acres of fields, woods and a river flood plain.
Charles Gehringer is white, 62, 5'7", and 115 lbs.
He was wearing blue jeans, brown chaps and an unknown colored shirt.
