LANSING - A medical marijuana dispensary in Lansing is the scene of a three hour standoff overnight. At about 12:30AM Monday, a woman walking by Hydroworld on the 400 block of East Grand River Avenue noticed a hole in the window of the building and heard someone rummaging around inside.
Police were called and spotted a man inside. Police thought he may have been holding a weapon and ordered him to surrender. The man ran into the basement of the building. Police set up a perimeter and had a negotiator try to talk the man out of the building. At approximately 3:30AM, the Lansing police special weapons and tactics unit entered the building and were able to arrest the subject without incident. He was not armed. The 28-year-old Lansing man is expected to be arraigned Monday or Tuesday.

To the two "Anonymous" - if I was you with your ignorant attitudes, I'd remain anonymous too! Medical marijuana isn't going to raise the crime rate any more than any other establishment that produces/sells something people really want but are too despicable or use the excuse of destitution to want to/be able to pay for, you know, like liquor stores, any place that sells cigarettes. Do the two of you actually manage to walk AND breathe safely at the same time without either falling or passing out from hyperventilation or something?? Wise up! You ignorant, propaganda lovers can continue to spout all you want - about a substance that's been used for countless centuries by great emperors and great minds throughout time, for relief, for enlightenment, to simply relax - but you only make yourselves look like idiots who should be either shut away or have your mouths permanently sewed shut and hands made unable to type at a keyboard; stop spreading your useless rhetoric as it's annoying and even damaging and quite often full of misinformation or outright lies.

Oh My!! Calling people "idiots" and suggesting people "Should be shut away" or "have your mouths permanently sewed shut" along with having one's "hands made unable to type at a keyboard"...sounds like we have a dedicated pothead who doesn't like other citizens criticizing his/her habit. Just watch his reply to my posting here...wonder what Mr/Mrs. DUH will suggest should happen to me???--HA!-HA!

How about it's more a person who's fed up with seeing people AROUND HER who have suffered needlessly for years, think they've finally cut a break yet only end up being met with more crappy, ignorant, judgmental, idiotic, spewing attitudes such as yours - thanks for managing to TOTALLY miss that point in my post, oh rhetoric, hateful spewing fool. I love how anyone who defends it, to you short-sighted ultra-haters, is automatically a worthless pothead loser with no job, no life, who sits around eating junk food all day while watching "Jerry Springer". Oh, stupid one, you'd be pretty darned surprised how many people you bump into EVERY DAY who lead productive lives BECAUSE they are now able to partake of marijuana legally. Somebody definitely should've kept your fingers away from the keyboard. P.S. Assumptor Extraordinaire, I'm typing this on break, at work, stone cold sober - so there. (You gonna neener-neener, boo-boo in response to me now, with your utterly infantile self?????????)

And so it begins, no need to worry about Banks being robbed anymore, the new Target will indeed be "medical marijuana businesses" Kids of all ages will now be targeting these places. They know the money they can make selling their bounty.

Jesus said to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. I know I wouldn't want my parents thrown in jail and to have their house confiscated and sold by the police if they decided to grow a little marijuana to help with the aches and pains of getting older. If anyone who wants to could grow their own, marijuana would be about as valuable as home-grown tomatoes (and about as frequently the object of crime).

Who is the idiot that says that this type of business would not bring more crime to an area?

If Danny would take some of the money out of his pocket and make the safety and security of his staff and customers his first priority THIS wouldn't keep happening! What's it gonna take D? You are fueling every negative thought about medical marijuana and dispensaries by your lack of accountability and responsibility. "As long as the rent is cheap and the bathroom works", that's what you said right!? Your over inflated ego should be feeling the pressure now Mr. "King of Weed"... ha! In your own mind!

How many times is this dump going to be broke into? City needs to make him clean up his places. He is a greedy joke with a overrated ego. Cares nothing about the sick or of their safety just his pockets.
