LANSING - A medical marijuana dispensary in Lansing is the scene of a three hour standoff overnight. At about 12:30AM Monday, a woman walking by Hydroworld on the 400 block of East Grand River Avenue noticed a hole in the window of the building and heard someone rummaging around inside.
Police were called and spotted a man inside. Police thought he may have been holding a weapon and ordered him to surrender. The man ran into the basement of the building. Police set up a perimeter and had a negotiator try to talk the man out of the building. At approximately 3:30AM, the Lansing police special weapons and tactics unit entered the building and were able to arrest the subject without incident. He was not armed. The 28-year-old Lansing man is expected to be arraigned Monday or Tuesday. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
