Nurses at Sparrow Hospital issued a strike notice late Thursday.
The notice doesn't mean there will be a strike, but it means nurses could walk off their jobs after ten days. I comes after a day of negotiating between the hospital and union.
The Michigan Nurses Association represents 2,100 employees. They include nurses, pharmacists, social workers and medical technicians.
The union has said staffing issues and pay key sticking points in the negotiations.
