At the state capitol building, Rick Snyder begins his second full day as Michigan's governor.
He'll meet with the state's new budget director, and the director of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
He's also expected to issue the executive orders to reorganize state government.
Snyder must come up with a plan to tackle Michigan's nearly two-billion dollar deficit---- and many say he'll target state employees.
He's expected to seek benefit cuts for employees at the government, state, local, and school district levels.

Ahh. FINALLY, a breath of fresh air! The governor can see the waste and excessive costs of employees. The first thing that must be done is to reduce over generous fringe benefits, and bring them in line with reality. Then look at efficient manpower needs. Some departments may need to go up for safety reasons, but most can easily be reduced or eliminated and save a bundle of money. All departments have "fodder" (aka no real job responsibilty, just have to keep a chair warm and collect a check) and eliminating these useless people will result in a much better use of taxpayer money. Thank you. Ricardo
