SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) -- Snowy and icy conditions have caused hundreds of accidents around Michigan as icing and blustery winds made travel hazardous.

MLive.com reports part of Interstate 475 near Flint was shut early Tuesday by a semi crash. Part of Interstate 75 near Saginaw was shut from late Monday into early Tuesday because of a multi-vehicle crash.

In western Michigan, weather was seen as a factor in at least two fatal crashes.

State police say one person died in a Monday evening crash in Kalamazoo County's Alamo Township, northwest of Kalamazoo. The Barry County sheriff's department says a man was killed in a Monday afternoon rollover in Hastings Township.

The Detroit area also saw icy roads.

More snow was forecast in places into Wednesday, with the biggest accumulations in the Upper Peninsula.
