CROSS VILLAGE, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say one person was hurt when a small glider airplane crashed in a state park near the northern tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula.

The Petoskey News-Review reports the plane carrying two people crashed Friday night in Wilderness State Park. Park ranger Dave Goheen described the person's injuries as minor and the other occupant was unhurt.

It wasn't immediately clear where the flight originated or exactly where the plane crashed within the 10,000-acre state park in Emmet County. The identities of those in the plane also haven't been released.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been contacted to investigate.
