ROYAL OAK, Mich. (AP) -- Singer James Taylor performs as grassroots supporters of President Barack Obama traverse Michigan to register new voters ahead of the Nov. 6 general election.
Taylor appeared at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the group's headquarters on Main Street in Royal Oak, north of Detroit.
The performance was free, but space was limited.
Taylor performed at last week's Democratic National Convention in North Carolina.
Obama supporters also are enlisting new volunteers heading into the final weeks of the 2012 presidential campaign.
