A small college in the corner of southwestern Michigan is closed for the day due to a security concern.
The main campus of Lake Michigan College is in Benton Township near Benton Harbor. But it also has locations in Niles, South Haven and Benton Harbor. They also are closed.
Spokeswoman Laura Kraklau says the two-year community college received information Friday from a third party about a possible threat. She had no other details.
The closing was posted on the school's website around 11:45 a.m. EST. Students and employees were also contacted by phone, email and text message.
