Search for Kidnapped Infant

Albion- An infant is believed kidnapped from her home in Albion. The family and police believe the husband of the child's mother took the child in the middle of the night and may be headed to Georgia. Police are on the lookout for 46 year old Luqman Abdul Bari. Albion Police were told that Bari took the 6-month old child from its home, as well as a car, some time in the early morning hours. The infant's name is Nahla Maylee Johnson.

Police say Bari was arrested on July 18 and charged with domestic violence against the child's mother.

Bari is a black male, 6'7" tall, 310lbs, bearded, and is expected to be driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, green in color, Michigan handicap license plate 3998G7.

Albion Police are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for Bari for kidnapping. Anyone who sees Bari or the vehicle should call 911 and alert local authorities. Anyone with information can contact the Calhoun County Dispatch Authority at 269-781-0911 or silent observer at 517-629-2700 or Det Luis Tejada at 517-629-7824.

    is the child 6 weeks or 6 months old?? It makes a difference in identifying at those ages.
