MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) -- Rick Santorum plans to bring his presidential campaign to western Michigan with three stops.
Santorum's campaign says in a release that the ex-Pennsylvania U.S. senator will hold rallies Monday afternoon in Muskegon and Holland. Then, he's scheduled to address the Kent County Lincoln Day Dinner at 7:45 p.m. at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids.
Santorum has been surging in the Republican presidential polls nationwide and in Michigan, which holds its primary Feb. 28.
A Feb. 11-13 poll of 500 likely Michigan GOP primary voters found 34 percent backing Santorum and 30 percent backing Michigan native and ex-Massachusetts Gov. Mott Romney.
The 4 percentage point difference is within the 4.4 point margin of sampling error. Glengariff Group Inc. did the polling for The Detroit News, WDIV-TV and WZZM-TV.

I am not impressed would not go to see him, at one point I would have voted for him. I do not need a person who is anti any religion but his own for President. Freedom of speach and religious beliefs seems to be something he is big on preaching against.

If you are interested in a certain candidate, shouldn't you be more proactive and research their stops? They have a website and most of them use twitter. Don't blame the media for your laziness of not researching who you want to speak.

Were you hoping no one would show up to hear this? That's how it seems. You didn't print this article until 12:31pm today, and two of the three stops were this afternoon. I would very much have liked to go, but I didn't know about them on time! Thanks for nothing WILX!!

I find his ad showing a Romney lookalike shooting at cutouts of himself totally inappropriate as an infant is killed today in Detroit. But I guess its alright that the man who wants to be president to plaster the TV with ads showing someone shooting at him. And he's a father. Shocking!!

I don't see anything to suggest that this man would be a good or capable or smart president. In his ad that he is a husband and father ... so what. That in no way suggests he can be anything more.

The republicans should hope that the dog race last all the way up to their conference. They are getting more press than obame/clinton did.
