A report of a possible drowning on Vandercook Lake tonight thankfully turned out to be false, but not before a serious search by the sheriff's department.

Deputies tell us they got a call from some girls who thought they saw a hand in the water. Once on the scene, deputies searched the water by boat and with people in the water.
