LANSING -- News 10 has learned Friday that the receiver for the struggling L&L Food Centers plans to close another location next week.
Amherst Partners -- appointed receiver of the grocery chain by Citizen's Bank -- tells News 10 the Holt location will be shuttered Dec. 23, though it could be stretched to the 24th.
Three other stores have already been closed -- DeWitt, Saginaw Highway and Colonial Village locations. The remaining four in Okemos, East Lansing, Lansing and Haslett are still open but could close any day.
L&L's other businesses, including Atlas Pharmacies and the Levandowski Sausage Company, will also close their doors.
The company was forced into receivership Thursday by its lender, Citizen's Bank. About 300 employees around the Lansing area are in jeopardy of losing their jobs permanently right before Christmas.
Spartan Stores has been listed as a possible buyer of the famous grocery chain, which has been around since the early 1900s.
