Consumers Energy Customers in Jackson and Grand Ledge lost power Saturday.
About 6,000 customers in southern Jackson lost power in the afternoon. Consumers says it was due to an equipment problem.
Later Saturday evening, 1,600 customers lost power in Grand Ledge.
Consumers believes an equipment problem at a sub station caused that outage.
Both issues are being investigated, Consumers Energy believes the problems are from the heavy snow fall the area received Thursday evening and Friday morning.
All power was restored by 10 p.m. Saturday.
