Lansing Police surrounded a neighborhood in the 300 block of North Butler, near Shiawassee Street, after a 65 year old man was assaulted with a bat.
Lansing Police say the beaten was apparently the result of money owed to the suspect, and at some point in the altercation a gun was shown.
With a police helicopter in the air, officers in a patrol car caught up with three people in a vehicle that fled the crime scene.
One male suspect ran from the car, and is still on the loose,, an older woman was detained and eventually released, and a male teenager was taken into custody.
Police did recover a handgun in the suspect's vehicle.
The man who was assaulted did not need hospital treatment, and was able to give police the name of the suspect who reportedly beat him.
