DETROIT (AP) -- Detroit police are seeking a man suspected in a string of rapes on the city's east and northeast sides.
The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press say the suspect has targeted women who were walking alone, waiting at bus stops and getting out of their vehicle during late evening and early morning hours. Police say the man takes the women at gunpoint to a secluded location, then robs and sexually assaults them.
Police have declined to say how many how women have reported assaults or where they have taken place.
Detroit Police spokeswoman Sgt. Eren Stephens says the latest assault happened Monday night.
Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 30s, 5-foot-9, with a thin build, mustache and goatee.
Anyone with information is asked to call 313-596-1950.
