Police Release Sketch of Sex Assault Suspect

Police have released a sketch of the man believed to be involved in a recent string of sexual assault cases in the City of East Lansing.

Investigators believe the suspect likely has a tattoo on his left arm or shoulder. The suspect is a white male between 18-25 years old, with an average build and height (5'5"-5'10"). He was wearing a faded red or pink shirt, shorts and grey shoes white socks at the time of the assaults.

The most recent case occurred Thursday, May 16 at approximately 8pm in the parking lot outside of the Abbott Pointe Apartments off of Abbot Road. The suspect dragged the victim behind a dumpster, where he physically and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot northbound on Abbot Road.

Two similar cases occurred prior to the May 16 assault this past April; the first taking place on Coolidge Road south of Lake Lansing Road around midnight on Saturday, April 20. The victim was dragged to a secluded area where she was physically and sexually assaulted. The second incident took place at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, April 26 in the 300 block of Charles Street. The victim was attacked upon attempting to enter her home and dragged to a secluded area, where she was physically assaulted and an attempted sexual assault occurred.
