LAPEER, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan police have put out partial descriptions of three male suspects in the abduction, beating and robbery of the lead singer of rock group The Calling after a performance at a festival in Lapeer.
The group says Alex Band was attacked outside a convenience store early Sunday. Lapeer is about 45 miles north of Detroit.
The group tells The Associated Press that Band had a spinal fracture, three broken teeth and needed 15 stitches in his chin.
The Los Angeles-based group had the 2001 hit song "Wherever You Will Go."
Police say one suspect is white and about 30 with a scruffy beard and was wearing a camouflage baseball cap. Another is white and about 6-foot-4 inches. Police say a third was driving the van and had a darker complexion.
