Officers heard shots fired at 10:52 p.m. Sunday.
A patrolling officer in the 2300 block of Beal saw two people walking on nearby private property.

He threw an item over the fence; it turned out to be a loaded handgun. The gun proved to be stolen.
The 28-year-old man is expected to be arraigned today on several charges.
The other person, a woman, was interviewed and released.
