Lansing Police are investigating reports of shots fired near the former Old Armory, now called the South Washington Office Complex.
Officers heard shots fired at 10:52 p.m. Sunday.
A patrolling officer in the 2300 block of Beal saw two people walking on nearby private property.
One, a man, took off running but was caught when he tried to jump over a fence.
He threw an item over the fence; it turned out to be a loaded handgun. The gun proved to be stolen.
The 28-year-old man is expected to be arraigned today on several charges.
The other person, a woman, was interviewed and released.
At the same time, witnesses say shots were fired nearby on the 2400 block of South Rundle Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found spent shell casings and shards of glass from cars.
Witnesses say people these came when people in two cars had a disagreement.
There was no evidence of anyone being hurt.

Thankfully no one was hurt/killed by these idiots! Hopefully the stolen handgun was the one I had stolen from my car and I can GET IT BACK!! Regardless, there'll be someone who will get back their property and one less ILLEGAL gun off the streets with the bad guys in jail.
