Tuesday morning at 5:30 a.m. LPD Officers responded to the 900 block of Seymour on report of a home invasion.

It was reported that a male entered the residence through the bedroom window of a child that was sleeping.

The male left the residence when the girl woke up and saw him and the child immediately informed her parents.

No one in the home was physically injured but the juvenile was taken to a local hospital and medically cleared.

The man is not in custody and a K-9 track was attempted. Investigators are examining evidence left at the scene and the case remains open.

The suspect is described as a heavy set Hispanic male, approximately 18 years of age last seen wearing a black baseball cap with red logo (the bill of the hat was black with red underneath).
