Pastor Plans To Protest Friday And May Fight Court Ruling

Florida pastor Terry Jones says he isn't through with Michigan.
Jones says he'll be back this Friday to protest outside Dearborn City Hall, and he may file a lawsuit against Wayne County prosecutors and other government offices over his arrest.
County prosecutors had filed a complaint to make Jones stay away from the mosque for a planned rally because they said it would breach peace.
A jury sided Friday with the prosecutors and Jones was handcuffed.
The arrest happened before the planned protest- and that's why the Quaran-burning pastor says he's suing on the grounds of a First Amendment violation.

so are you going to pick and choose who can say what a pastor cant protest the koran but a imam can spread hate. theres a lot that pepol dont know when it comes to muslem imams. they say one thing in english and say something eles in arabic. all you see on the news are how peaceable muslims imams are, and yet read the koran and see that it calls for the killing of jews and chirstins. calls them infedels and apes and pigs, who is involved in terrorism. i dont see christ followers or jews out killing pepol or bombing buses or buildings so who is spreading hate. i dont agree with him burning the koran no one should have the right to do that to anyones holy book i know that i dont like it when someone dose that to the bible and yet muslims burn the bible all the time you see it on tv in other countrys, wake up and smell the roses.

Most religious followers are usually compliant and peaceful, but everyone has their radicals. I am all of him to peacefully make his statement then be done with it. The only reason why they thrive and make the news is because we want to see it. We need to take lessons from the Klan and not give the attention to those who are against our cause.

To bad there isn't someway to ban this "Pastors" right to protest in Michigan. Not allow him into the state. I find people like him disgusting. They are all about their "rights". What about the rights of the rest of us to live without the hated that comes out of his mouth. I am sure his hatered has nothing to do with religion, but that he is one of those neo nazi's or a member of the KKK. He hates anyone who isn't just like him. Only his rights count. Because he a white "Christian" (use that term loosely) who knows everything. If you don't think so, why just ask him.

I'm just utterly fed up with these ridiculous men, calling themselves men of God yet doing nothing but spreading messages of hate and separatism. If you want your freedoms, Mr. Jones, then maybe you should learn what a lot of us learned in kindergarten and stop poking people needlessly just to get attention and irk people. This world is full of people of all types, races, cultures, and RELIGIONS - Mr. Jones, the sooner you realize, deal with, and accept these facts, the better off all of us will be.

I have absolutely no respect for this man. He claims to be a pastor and yet he is protesting another religion. He is such a hippocrite. All he wants to do is stir up trouble. I am all for banning him from even entering Michigan; let him stay in Florida.

I quite agree with you Sue. Radical people like this man know how to stir weak minded and vulnerable people into a frenzy. It's almost like mass hypnotism. His followers are going to stick with him until something horrible happens. We all remember what happened to Jim Jones with the poison kool aid.
