Nurses at Sparrow Hospital will decide Thursday night whether to accept a new contract or vote to authorize a strike.

The union will continue meetings Thursday with members to discuss the hospital's proposed contract.

The union is advising members to reject Sparrow's contract and vote for a strike.

Members will vote all day Thursday.

If a strike is authorized, the union will have to give the hospital 10 days notice before nurses walk off the job.

A press conference is set for Thursday night. We will have an update on News 10 at 11.
