New Poll Finds Michiganders Wishing They Had Voted For Bernero

A new poll finds more Michigan voters are wishing they had voted Virg Bernero into the Governor's office.
The report from "Public Policy Polling" says Governor Rick Snyder's approval ratings have plummeted---- it says 50-percent of voters disapprove of his job perfromance, compared to 33-percent who approve.
Of those surveyed, 47-percent say they would have preferred Bernero to win the election last fall over Snyder.
Voters support collective bargaining rights for union workers by a wide margin.
They also overwhelmingly oppose the new law allowing Emergency Financial Managers to void union contracts-- and take over struggling schools and governments.

I'm just not sure "reinventing" Michigan was necessary. Maybe a few tweaks - yes, but an entire "reinvention"? And on the backs of public employees? I'm not convinced that is the solution either.

Where was this poll taken, detroit or lansing. The governor election was a lose lose for lansing. They could not get rid of bernero either way.

Some of us wish we voted for mccain. Snyder has 8 years of democrats deferring the mess until the next governor. If we expect changes to happen overnight, get involve in your community. Make your community a place that people want to be a part of.

Snyder is taking us into a high tech dark age by shoving us in the back. High electric rates through artificial scarcity (controlled and manipulated), For-Profit Police eventually (that's gonna be scary) All of these policy's are designed to create a divide and conqueror atmosphere in order to bring the majority of the population of Michigan to its knees. Snyder is "Corporation" and he doesn't care about the constitution or the bill of rights. Have you heard of Snyder's plan to get 44-60 years old's back to work, HE DOESN'T HAVE ONE ! Snyder is a globalist and only views Michigan as a resource to exploit. When he is all done and gone we will see how many people his policies put in livable wage jobs.

Well folks we don't get a do over, so live with what you got, and trust me, you don't know if Virg would have been better. If he had been elected you would still be whining about something he did. Only difference is that Virg would say he didn't do it.

Come on now, give the guy a chance! Absolutely nothing can be fixed overnight or at the very least, 3 months. He has a huge task ahead of him and he needs our support. He's not trying to bury us further, he's trying to create a whole new state! Out with the old, in with the new. Change is good; especially this kind. We have no more to lose!

It is sad that people were not better informed PRIOR to the election so we would not be in this mess now. I think it is important to look at both the damaging budget proposal of Snyder as well as the bills being fast tracked through the legislature by the super majority of republicans. Many of the measures people are most troubled by are coming from the republicans in the Michigan House and Senate, and the damage they will do is compounded by the misguided tax shifting budget proposed by Snyder. Maybe next time voter turn out and better attention to the issues in advance of the election can help us mitigate such a dire situation as we find ourselves in now.

Just like the Govener says everyone wants change untill it effects them. I am a goverment employee and I know we r going to take cuts but if we take them now then maybe we won't have to take bigger ones later. We can't continue with the push it off untill next year policy. JMO
