Gov. Rick Snyder has named Kari Sederburg director of the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging.
The office works to promote independence and quality of services to the state's older adults and their families.
Sederburg currently serves as the director of public policy for the Michigan Nonprofit Association. She previously served as vice president of marketing and communications for the Gerontology Network in Grand Rapids.
The Lansing resident earned a bachelor's degree in business from Ferris State University and a master's degree in public administration with a focus on aging policy and state budgeting from Ohio University.
