The shootings at a car wash in Ionia September 18 happened after one driver was tailgating the other, according to a police report released to wilx.com Friday. The wife of James Pullum told investigators Robert Taylor was following their car so closely she couldn't see the front bumper of his car. Teri Pullum says Taylor fired the first shot after the men got into an argument and shoving match at the Wonder Wand Auto Wash on South Steele Street. he report also shows the owner of an online auction business told detectives Taylor wanted to sell some of his 100 or so guns "because of his condition". He said Taylor went on for more than an hour about government gun-control conspiracies, militias and the NRA. He followed up a few weeks later and says Taylor had no recollection of the conversation.
