JNET acted on a tip from the Jackson County Sheriff Department, that a large quantity of marijuana would be delivered to a specific residence in Parma Township on Wednesday. Officers set up surveillance on the residence and after a period of time a vehicle with two subjects showed up at the residence and unloaded suspected marijuana from the vehicle, then drove away. A subsequent traffic stop was made and both subject were taken into custody. 42 pounds of suspected marijuana was seized along with one vehicle and U.S. currency. One subject lodged in the Jackson County jail on outstanding warrants, and charges on both will be sought pending review by the Jackson County Prosecutors office.

Michigan still doesn't get it. the war on drugs is over. Nobody cares about a 42lb pot bust anymore, why don't you bust up a meth lab somewhere? thats the real killer, and everyone knows it's a big problem for Jackson streets too! on a side note... there are far to many state police roaming around here with idle hands. time for some lay-offs
