ADRIAN, Mich. (AP) -- The father of three Michigan boys missing since Thanksgiving is to appear in court before a judge who plans to ask him what happened to his children.
John Skelton is charged with parental kidnapping in the disappearance of his three sons. They were last seen were at his home in Morenci along the Michigan-Ohio state line.
Skelton is due in court Friday for a hearing that's part of his divorce case.
He said during a custody hearing in December that he gave his sons to someone from an "organization" that he wouldn't identify.
Authorities and volunteers spent days searching for the boys in Ohio and Michigan without any luck. A police chief leading the effort later said he didn't expect a positive outcome.

People involved in divorces with kids should hire body guards to protect the kids. I used to do that years ago. The husband was a real jerk and the wife was afraid of him. He had court ordered vistation. I setup vistation at a park a good distance from their home, he was not allowed to know their home address. ON the very first meeting he told me that he was going to take his son. I told him in that would be a very bad idea to have his son see the father get hurt. The mother was my next door neighbor, who knew I was a marital artist, as I use to practice in my backyard. After that first incident we never had a problem.I worked for her 6 months, until the courts gave her 100% custody and recinded his vistation.
