OSCEOLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a 65-year-old man has died in a moped crash in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

WLUC-TV reports that Martin Locatelli of Calumet was traveling north on M-26 in Osceola Township Friday afternoon when he lost control of his moped. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Police say Locatelli wasn't wearing a helmet and alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor. It's not clear why he lost control.
