MONROE, Mich. (AP) -- Gifts for the recent wedding of a Monroe couple included toys and food, just what the happy couple wanted.
The Monroe Evening News reports that Lisa and Jeremiah Connally felt they had everything they needed so they asked the 160 guests at their wedding to bring donations to help people in need at Christmas.
The guests responded with dozens of toys and cases of food.
The couple delivered a truck full of food to the Oaks of Righteousness warming center. Toys went to the Salvation Army for its Toys for Tots program.
