Members of Michigan's incoming U.S. House delegation have taken the congressional oath of office.
Longtime congressmen and first-termers alike were sworn in en masse at the Capitol on Wednesday afternoon, and incoming House Speaker John Boehner held individual ceremonies for some lawmakers later in the day.
One of those getting an individual swearing-in ceremony is Justin Amash, a Republican from the Grand Rapids area.
New Michigan Democratic Congressman Hansen Clarke of Detroit also has been sworn in individually by Boehner.
Clarke and Amash are two of five new members of the state's delegation, which will feature a 9-6 GOP majority.
