Nineteen women were honored Thursday evening by being inducted in to the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame.

Eleven of them were the only female delegates out of 147 sent to the state constitutional convention in 1961 and 1962.

Former Lansing Community College President Paula Cunningham was inducted. She is the first woman to hold that job, and the first black woman to chair the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Lansing Human Relations and Community Services Director Joan Jackson Johnson was also inducted.
