CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- The family of a 4-year-old Michigan boy whose burned remains were found buried at his house plans to hold a memorial service for him.

Authorities found the body of Carnel Chamberlain last month at the house on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian reservation, about 70 miles north of Lansing.

The memorial service is planned for Sunday afternoon at the Soaring Eagle Casino, located near Mount Pleasant in Isabella County's Chippewa Township.

Carnel was last seen alive on June 21 before his mother went to work. A weeklong search ended with word his body was found.

No one is charged in Carnel's death, but the man who was supposed to be watching him the day the boy disappeared is jailed on charges he assaulted the boy weeks before.
