DELHI TOWNSHIP - It was a terrifying night for two Delhi Township residents, when they were robbed in their home by two masked men. It happened at a home in the 5200 block of Holt Road. The couple tells investigators with the Ingham County Sheriff's Office that at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday there was a knock on the door. The male resident answered the door, and he was tackled by two masked men armed with handguns. The man and the woman were ordered to the ground.

Investigators say that the gunmen stole the contents of a safe and a handgun from the home. They also stole the homeowners' car, a 1999, black, Ford Expedition with tinted windows, license plate CNN-7564. The suspects are described as a white male and a black male, and they were wearing dark clothing, ski masks and gloves.

Anybody with information in reference to this incident is asked to contact Detective Chuck Buckland at (517) 244-1897 or Detective Jody McGuire at (517) 244-1896 of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Delhi Division.

This is the second home invasion in Delhi Township in as many nights. Early Monday morning a home in the 1800 block of Schoolcraft Road was robbed of jewelry and other property. Deputies were able to catch two suspects in that case.
