The Ingham County Sheriff's department says a fraud suspect tried to pay a $1 finger printing fee with a stolen credit card.

A release from the department today says the man was submitting court ordered fingerprints at the sheriff''s Central Records Unit. The cost of printing the prints is $16, but the man had only $15 in cash. He presented a credit card to pay the $1 balance, but when office staff ran the card it came up stolen.

The suspect was released while the department investigates the stolen credit card. Warrants will be sought later.
