SPRING LAKE, Mich. (AP) -- A man has been injured and three large pleasure boats damaged in an explosion and fire in a storage building at a West Michigan marina.
Authorities say more than 30 firefighters responded to the blaze about 11 a.m. Saturday at North Shore Marina in Spring Lake.
Grand Haven Public Safety director Jeff Hawke says the man was working on a boat at the time of the explosion. He suffered serious burns and was hospitalized.
Boats put away for winter storage were inside the 80,000-square-foot metal-frame building. Damage estimates were not immediately available. Some boats were believed to have suffered smoke damage.
The injured man's name was not released.
Spring Lake is northwest of Grand Rapids.
