CHARLOTTE - A man is found lying in the street in Charlotte early Thursday morning, and police say they think he may have been struck by a car. 51-year-old David Charles Briggs of Charlotte was found at about 6:30AM Thursday on the street in the 500 block of W. Lovett Street. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and remains in intensive care Friday. Charlotte Police say his injuries are consistent with being struck by a vehicle. Police are asking anyone who may know of someone who would have been driving in Charlotte late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, and has recent damage to their vehicle, is asked to contact Detective James Beal at 517-541-0149.
