A man crawling on his hands and knees for 30 miles in protest of Albion High School closing this fall is expected to arrive in Albion Thursday afternoon.

Longtime Activist Bobby Holley started the crawl Tuesday morning in Battle Creek.

Albion school officials voted earlier this month to end the district's high school curriculum.

The district has a budget deficit of more than a million dollars.
Starting this fall, only students in kindergarten through eighth grade will be taught under one roof at the high school.

Holley has crawled in the past to protest school bullying.

He tells the Battle Creek Inquirer he hopes to hold a rally once he arrives in Albion Thursday.

WILX’s Fay Li will have more on this story on News 10 tonight.
