(WILX) A mistake by the state Department of Education means students across Michigan will be getting new MEAP math scores.

As it turns out, questions were included on the test taken by students last fall, that state officials had promised schools wouldn't be included.

Because of the mistake, the state has to re-score all the MEAP math exams students in grades 4, 7, and 8, and for special education students in grades 3 through 8.

The new scores will be sent to schools by the end of June.
