East Lansing school authorities have lifted the lockdowns at Pinecrest and Whitehills Schools.
A suspect in a domestic confrontation that led to the lockdowns has been arrested.
It started when Mervin Scott Willman confronted his ex-girlfriend at her Meridian Township business. Investigators say Willman pulled out a gun during the argument and threatened her, but left without further incident.
However, he's accused of contacting the unidentified woman later and saying he was going to pick up her children. One attends Pinecrest and another at Whitehills.
As a precautionary measure, the East Lansing police ordered the lockdowns and officers were sent to the schools.
Willman was later arrested in Oakland county's Commerce Township and the lockdowns were lifted at about 2PM Wednesday.
