Local Soldiers Home for Holidays

LANSING - They'll be home for Christmas. 13 National Guard soldiers based in Lansing will be reunited with their loved ones Thursday afternoon. The soldiers had been in Afghanistan during their 12-month tour of duty. The special team served as trainers and advisers for Latvian and Afghani troops.
Thursday's homecoming ceremony takes place at 4 o'clock at the Michigan National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters building.
More than 1,700 Michigan National Guard troops are currently stationed around the world.
Watch news 10 tonight at 6pm for a look at soldiers as they are reunited with their families.
