Lansing Teacher Survives Deadly Car Accident

A Michigan State student here from China who has been teaching Chinese language at culture at Post Oak Elementary is recovering after a car crash that left two of her friends dead.

Staff at Post Oak tell us the teacher is Linling Cai, a student at MSU's Confuscious Institute. She was a passenger in a Subaru that crashed Saturday on I-75 North. Police say also in the car were four U of M students, also from China. The driver and front passenger died.

Cai is in the hospital, according to the school's principal. She will make a full recovery.
