Nearly two dozen people showed up to a meeting Monday night to learn about job openings with the Lansing Police Department.
There was an information session on the 10 to 15 positions LPD has to fill. It's the first time since 2009 that the department has held one of these meetings. The department recently lost officers to promotions and transfers.
"Were looking for the best and the brightest, community oriented police officers that will fit the needs of the Lansing community. So if you know anyone, we're hiring" said Chief Mike Yankowski.
The department is accepting applications until June 14th. They expect to finish the interviews by August.
