Lansing Police Investigating Early Morning Homicide

Lansing police responded to reports of a shooting at the Centerfolds strip club on Pennsylvania Ave. in Lansing around 2 a.m. Sunday.

When authorities arrived on the scene they found a 21-year-old man had been shot in the parking lot. He was rushed to the hospital where he he later died.

Police said it's unclear if there was some type of altercation leading up to the shooting.

"Our detectives are still interviewing witnesses and we're still collecting information as far as forensics," said Lansing Police Captain Daryl Green.

Police also wouldn't specify where the man had been shot, but reports of authorities saying they were searching for "brain matter" was heard over police scanners following the incident.

The name of the victim is not being released until authorities can contact family members.

The shooting is still under investigation and the suspected killer is still on the loose, according to police.
