Lansing City Council is holding a special meeting 6:30 Monday night at City Hall to address the recent power outages and concerns with Board of Water & Light's response time and communication with customers.
"I'm hoping they're prepared to bring answers," said Council President Carol Wood. "It won't bode well if we don't have answers."
There will be public comment and the council, expecting an overflow crowd, is prepared to hear from every person who wishes to speak, according to Wood.
BWL will give a presentation following public comment to update council on restoration times and continued clean-up efforts.
As of Monday afternoon, approximately 800 BWL customers are still without power with full restoration expected by Tuesday night.
WILX's Josh Sidorowicz will have more from tonight's meeting on News 10 at 6pm and 11pm.
