A Lansing police officer accused of passing bad checks shows up for court.

Jerry Blow was arraigned Wednesday on two counts of passing bad checks worth between $100 and $500.

According to the Lansing State Journal, Blow is also charged in connection with driving off without paying for gas at the Shell station in Potterville. That happened last month. He allegedly took off without paying for two bottles of wine and $45 of gas.

Blow has been on paid administrative leave from the force since December 17.

well then dont pay officer blow till after found innocent then cut him back pay check if not found guilty because when he found guilty we are not going to get that vacation money back that they could be paying a honest cop that got laid off due to lack of funds and by the way it easeyer not to use capital letters when texting from my phone so nope dont use them or spell check : )

There is absolutely no excuse for passing bad checks. It's pure and simple theft. For a cop to do this is beyond belief.

The comments here are amusing in their ignorance only to a point, and then amusement gives way to annoyance and, eventually, disgust. Innocent until proven guilty applies to everyone, even "piggies" as "stan" so thoughtfully and intelligently put it. And the LPD is not going to end his "paid vacation" (another brilliant comment, this time by "will" - whom, it appears, also doesn't know how to use capital letters), on the presumption of guilt before a trial has even begun. Is Officer Blow guilty? There is no way to know that until the very end of the trial, because guilt - or innocence - can ONLY be determined in a court of law. And, no, "we" are not paying his salary, "will". Our tax dollars pay the salaries of civil servants, but we do not pay them. Their respective employers do that.

We all are human and fail @ times in our life; regardless of what the crime is or uniform you're in.

why are we still paying his salary when he is being charged with those criminal charges thats one of the reasons that cops do what ever they want because even if they get cought and charged no big deal they get the reward of a paid vacation

I think someone should take him off of paid administrative leave because this little piggy is going to jail!
