An ethics hearing for a suspended Jackson County judge continues Friday.

Judge James Justin is accused of widespread misconduct, including dismissing traffic tickets against himself. The judge overseeing the hearing asked him why he didn't just pay the tickets.

Justin says although he owned the vehicles, he thought he could dismiss the tickets since he wasn't the driver.

Justin's testimony concluded Thursday.

Assistant City Attorney Gilbert Carlson is on the stand Friday.

We seem to have arrogant jerks and/or minds of mush sitting as judges, and we're stuck with them. Know why? Because attorneys are afraid to run against sitting judges. Of course they all run out from under their rocks when a judge dies or retires. If this dork isn't removed from the bench, and decides not to retire, Jackson will be stuck with him because no one will run against him.
